Quality Manufacturing

Purpose

At its most basic level, manufacturing quality is conformance to specifications. Assuring manufacturing quality entails three principal functions: quality design and engineering, quality control, and quality management. Providing end-product quality cannot be an afterthought that starts after manufacturing line is already in operation. Achieving the best value for the customer requires a comprehensive quality plan that should be consolidated before the part manufacturing starts.

This document is intended to describe the processes and activities concerning 40hrs manufacturing division implemented to ensure conformance to the customer specification, to ensure quality of the end-product, and to provide additional value to the customer.

Responsibilities

Engineering team is responsible for generating the Quality Plan. Quality Manager, reporting to the company President is responsible for the implementing of the quality procedure requested by the quality manual. All operators at all workstations have the obligation to report to the quality manager any incident that can generate quality uncertainties.

All operators are encouraged to propose actions and modifications that can generate quality improvements. The proposals should be evaluated by a team with expertise in the mater, and if approved, they should be incorporated in the workstation process manual. No proposal can be implemented before approval and incorporation in the process manual.
